Oilfree compressor..... not really good for big 60 gallon compressor tank... it will make loud noise.... i am rather to have compressor with cylinders that use oil as it will last long than oilfree....

It is a direct drive, which most better quality compressors are not direct drive. Better quality compressors have seperate pumps and motors, those that are better still have 2 stage compressor pumps. To sum up, if you are hard pressed for cash and need the most compressor you can buy for the least amount of money a direct drive will LOUDLY and with a likely shorter life span fill the bill.

If you are not cash strapped, and are looking for a quality compressor that will cost a bunch up front, but will likely be with you for the next 20 yrs or so look for a 2 stage Quincy, Ingersol Rand, or many other used brands such as an old Champion or the like. Many more posts should follow this one.

BTW; If you look at the stickied topics at the top of the board you should find many many previous discussions dedicated to this from the past. Compressors has been done to death here. tons of info already up.

I've read the threads. The compressor I want is this one...2340L5

I could most likely afford it (at the cost of some other toys). Northern sells it for $1247

I got so used to buying with the Live.com discount. I tend to want to wait to see if they will run the promotion again. If so I could get the ebay one for $1095 shipped and that seems like a deal.

That IR would be a real goer, I must admit, a far nicer compressor than I will ever be able to afford.

Yeah, my only concern would be wether it is more than I will ever need. I could probably get away with the single stage for $350 less, but you never know what the future will hold as far as projects go. Decisions...

Keep a close eye on ebay for a compressor within a few hundred miles of you. I ended up buying a slightly used 80gal 7.5hp compressor (23cfm @ 175psi) for around $600. It was around $2k brand new, as shown in that link. If you don't mind buying slightly used, you can save quite a bit of money. Takes a little patience trying to find a good deal though.
