Does this look like a legit Snap On box?

I have a guy trying to make a trade with me saying he paid 10,000 for this box... I take that with not only a grain of salt but a whole salt factory. I know snap on is expensive... I had a snap on box it was maybe 1500... But wasnt that big...anyway it brought me to wondering... Is that even a real snapon box or they just slap a logo on our and try to trade it off? My trade is worth between 500-800 dollars.

The drawer pulls kind of look like an EPIQ, but really nice one of those still is only 6-7 grand off the truck with all their rebates and trade ins.

Nice box and worth trying do a deal if you into the epiq and the drawer layout works for you . If deal way in your favour worth having as easy sell the black epiq's and value good if kept tidy condition .

Definitely an EPIQ, but I'd check the tag serial number with Snap On to make sure it's not stolen or still has $ owed on it. Model number should tell you something too. Theres a white "Do not remove" tag with all the info on it

According to my SO driver, if he sells you the box and owes money on it, it is not your problem and there is nothing he can do about it. The SO driver has to go after the original purchaser. Now, if it's stolen, that's a different story.
So, if it's not stolen, I'd be on that like stink on **** !!!

Incorrect if you buy a Snap-on box through Snap-on credit there is a lean on the box they can repo it. Just like a car if you buy a car with a loan on it they can repo it because there is a lean on it.

Laws may vary by state, but I work in a business in Florida and we occasionally get a writ of replevin by filing proof of ownership at the courthouse. An installment sale contract would be proof. I have never recovered items that were sold to individuals, but I have recovered items that were pawned or at a person's home or business.

Snap-on merchandise doesn't have any such title. Snap-on cannot legally take merchandise from a third party that has not entered into any kind of contract with Snap-on.

This makes sense. They cant repo it from third party. If its stolen then that's different.

Snap on dealer isn't just walking into your house or place of employment and demanding to see the serial number on the back. Stolen would be a different game but no way to know without calling the police and who knows how seriously they'll look into it for a tool box.
If its in your price range and you like it then go for it.

That's not correct; you can perfect a security interest on all sorts of non-titled property that might be securing a loan by filing a UCC financing statement with (most likely) your Secretary of State's office.
