It's a two or three bay size box with a built-in tool cart.

The blue portion is the cart. The red drawers inside the cart area would stay in place, floating (that part may need to change). Anyway, it seems a lot of guys have a cart and a box so why not nest them for a smaller footprint?

What sayest thou? Links to similar would be awesome. Would you use one?

Never seen anything likemit and would have to say to build a structurally stable toolbox like that that can handle the weight would make it a very expensive box to manufacture.
Snap on has side cabinets that will allow you to roll a tool cart into and lock it up and it will still move with the box

You would't be able to keep anything large on the bottom cart shelf with those drawers permanently affixed to the large box.

matco has something like that, the 6331ds and 6128r which can be a set, the 6331dsset. the drawers stay in the cart though, not with the main box.

The big Matco posted above is the only one I know off. Cool idea on paper, do not know if good in real world. Matco and SO have "docker lockers" that carts can be put inside the locker.

Matco is the only one ive ever seen. These no really sturdy way you could make those drawers float. They would almost have to go with the cart.

Thanks for the input guys. Now I'll have to sell some kidneys and buy that Matco combo.
