Does twisting a ratchet strap weaken it?

I know some guys here follow Fireball Tool on YouTube. This is a pretty awesome video. I like the way he designs an experiment.

He answers the questions: Does twisting a ratchet strap weaken it? Knotting it? Wet ratchet strap?

No,the video I watched says your good to go.I would be more concerned with cuts from sharp edges,which are prevented by using sleeves made of cordura material.Guys get a cut,figure tie a knot,that will work.Thats absolutely, the weakest.The twist,really excels at stopping wind chatter.

Anyone who has been to rigging school could have told you what would happen without doing the experiment still a fun video.
