Looking to build 30x40 this spring here in MN? Will have a kennel (10x5) for the dog under overhang. Would really like an access to the garage from kennel with a small area in the garage for dog to stay during the cold winter.
Anybody have ant pictures of their set ups for their buddies? I plan on heating the garage and am uncertain how to make such a access door not so ill-efficient. I was thinking like an insulated dog"foyer" or tunnel so that there is minimal heat loss.
Any suggestions and/or photos would be appreciated

Thanks

I have a plywood box in the corner. There is a door cut to the outside that is always open. An old blanket hanging over the door helps keep the draft out.
There is also a hnged door that opens to the inside, but that is typically closed.

My dog door is two flaps, separated by about 8 inches. This provides much better insulation than the single panel style.
