wow what a story. Happy that nothing like this ever happened with my son. There has always been high performance cars in his life, vettes, mustangs hotrods, and he showed them off many a time, but thankefully without incident. We live on a farm and he learned to drive stick shift when his legs could reach the pedals, by the time he was 8 he could drive and back a tractor with a hay wagon better than most adults, grew up into an awesome ralley, autocross and track driver, but never launched anything through a garage door. now to be as lucky with the two boy grandbabies...
myself, I have had some close calls but never crashed one, when I was a teenager, graduated HS in '63, I worked at a body shop and had the opportunity to drive all the muscle cars of the 60s, delivered many back to the dealerships and owners, with a bit of a test drive thrown in, but thankfully no damage.
