I got home from work at a decent time today so I was excited to get to work out in the garage. Wouldn't you know it though. I got out there and realized i was out of 3/4" plywood. So an hour later after making a trip to sLOWES only 3 miles away I was back at the house and ready to work.

The problem with working on weekdays after work is by the time I get everything out and ready to work, its almost time to pack it all back up. Luckily before too long I will have a nice organized place to work if even only for a few minutes.

Here are some pics of the pantry cabinet on the opposite wall. This will also have a divider in the center and possibly more.

So here is what I did this evening. My wife has been saying for years that she wished we had somewhere to store our shoes. Hopefully this makes her happy!

Wanted to post my Craigslist find. It was listed for $50.00 but I got it for $20.00. The owner listed it under antiques as a wooden trunk. It needs a little tlc but I am happy

Rick,

I actually sold my lathe and mill a few months back when I realized I had to get everything in the garage. I really miss them, but I am trying to only keep tools I use regularly until I can get back into a bigger shop again. :(

Omphaloskeptic - Its an older piece, that someone (who didn't know what they were doing) tried to fix up. The only markings I can find are on the hardware. The read USA EXCELSIOR Stamford Conn.

been a while since an update. Here is what I have done since last time.

I had two base cabinets in my garage before. One was a 36" drawer base and the other was a standard 33" cabinet. I decided to connect them together and put them on casters. this will give me more storage and some counter space. I plan on painting these and making matching doors and drawer fronts

I also finished building all of the cabinet carcasses. Still have to build all of the face frames, doors and some organizers.

In the cabinet above the toolbox, I build vertical "drawers" to keep fluids and things like that within easy reach
