Domax England

Has anyone know about Domax England tools, especially their combination spanners set? How good is it compare to other brand?

I saw, some years ago, (while abroad) a spanner set marked “Domax England” or some such.

I have never heard of such a company in England, and the spanners appeared to be generic far eastern ones.

I assumed at the time, that this was one of those cases where a company had called themselves “Domax England” as a deceptive marketing ploy, rather than the tools being made here.

I do recall that the tools either said “Domax England” or “Made by Domax England” rather than “Domax, Made in England” which they would do if genuinely made here.

Such distinctions are irrelevant here, as either description would be unlawful. Perhaps why I’ve never seen the tools here?

Just looking at the picture of the wrenches, they look like your typical chicom ****. I wouldn't buy them.

@Howe - the photo image of the hacksaw shows a tag with "England" on it, but when I run a search for "Domax hacksaw" I am directed to what appear to be Indian-made wood saws with the "Domax" brand name on them.... so I'm confused.
The photo you posted above of the wrenches doesn't show country of origin.

Too many "****" tools on the market I guess I should be more careful
