I saw, some years ago, (while abroad) a spanner set marked “Domax England” or some such.
I have never heard of such a company in England, and the spanners appeared to be generic far eastern ones.
I assumed at the time, that this was one of those cases where a company had called themselves “Domax England” as a deceptive marketing ploy, rather than the tools being made here.
I do recall that the tools either said “Domax England” or “Made by Domax England” rather than “Domax, Made in England” which they would do if genuinely made here.
Such distinctions are irrelevant here, as either description would be unlawful. Perhaps why I’ve never seen the tools here?
