done a garage, what about basement floor?

I used ArmorSeal awhile back on our garage floor, doing all the right prep (cleaning, gridnding, cleaning, then painting) - sofar its been holding up great.

After the wife saw the garage, she wants me to work on the basement floor. Its 100yr old concrete, but doesnt have any of the oil stains etc our garage floor did - should i still use epoxy and take the time to grind it all down? I dont expect perfection, i just want an easy to clean coating to keep the wife happy and make it look a little nicer.

Have you conducted a moisture test during the wettest months? Coatings do not do well with moisture from under the slab.
