Now I have to wait probly until friday to strip tile and put on sealer and wax. Worked out pretty well, did one half monday and other half today.I have infloor heat and set temp at 68 degrees.Took alittle long for glue to dry than expected, about 2 hours.

It wont let me upload pics, says my file exceeds forum limit, never had this problem before?

I think that messages refers to the actual file/photo size you are allowed to physically upload/store to this site.

The best way to post images is via links to images you store to a photo hosting site (Photobucket, Flickr etc.).

I came up with the design by looking at many different garage floor pics. There was one floor similiar ,but had red accent tiles instead of blue. Floor turned out better than I expected and cost was about $1000 for the 1000sq. ft. including everything(tiles, glue, trowel, degreaser, brush, mop, mop heads, mop bucket, tile roller rental, stripper, sealer and wax). beer price not included! Started Monday morning and finished with (waxing) Saturday night. My son and myself did the install. I think I will start parking cars in garage tuesday or wednesday. I had my garage heated to about 68-70degrees(infloor heat) the whole time, but now I am going to lower it back down to 60-62 degrees. I live in central Wis. and the big test will be this coming winter to see how the floor holds up to all the salt and snow as it melts off the cars,my wife and I both enter and exit garage several times a day.

How long should I wait to park a car on the tile? Also thanks to all the replies to my questions before I installed the tile, it made installation go very smooth. This forum made installing my floor and my infloor heat pretty much flawless.

Looks great, what are you using to heat the floor? I can see part of the system in the one picture.

For the infloor heat I use a Navien on demand condensing modulaling hot water heater(95% eff),and really like it. I bought my tile(armstrong) @ Menards on sale for 66 cents per tile and used Florcraft VCT glue. I stripped, sealed (2 layers), waxed (5 layers),using zep products.I have more pics but I need to make them smaller to upload, any suggestions on how to do that?

Just a heads up,I had some condensating water from my on demand water heater I use to heat my floor run on my floor. The acidity of the water took the wax right off the tile. I mopped up the water and mopped with fresh water acouple times and then put down couple coats of wax, looks like the rest of the tile, didnt seem to do any damage. Just a caution that the condensation from the condensating water heater is extremely acidity.

Put a catch pan under it.

How would it hold up to salty slush dripping of the car in the winter?

I have been told by people that also live here in Wis that they had no trouble at all with the salt and slush, but the most of them sqeege it to the drain or mop it. I will find out this coming winter, I am pretty comfident on a positive outcome.

Very nice. I've been on the fence for a while doing VCT. Your color scheme is perfect for what I want. Just worried what a non heated floor in a randomly heated garage would do in this climate especially with the salt and grit.

Floor is 2 weeks old and holding up well. Changed brakes and oil on truck and no damage from floor jack.

Floor looks great. I see how you handled drain holes in the floor from your pics. What did you do about expansion joints on floor. Cover them up or tile up to them but not over them or ......? Thanks.

Its been about six weeks now and no issues at all. Really like how easy it is to keep floor clean, sweep easily with broom compared to concrete, and mop it to get that Just like brand new look! To answer question about what I did about expansin joints (Joints cut in with concrete saw). I just cleaned them real well and tiled right over them, no problem at all, cant see them(joints) through the tile any place. Thanks for all the positive comments.

Looks great!

I would recommend a fresh coat of sealer in the fall and if you really do keep the water from sitting on the floor for long times it will last a lot longer.
