Hi Everyone. Just came across these today... my guess is that they were some type of plier to attach the seat cover springs to the seat .... it looks to have 2 heads, one bigger than the other. Can’t find a name stamp on it but I did find the #2 on both sides...

Hog rings are used in upholstery work like seat covers and fabric. Definitely automotive related.

I have a piece of screening from a tennis court that was attached to the fence with hog rings

I did some looking up and found on EBay that these are actually pig nose ring pliers circa 1880’s. So I think that maybe they are not automotive related...thanks for everyone’s input. They are definitely a different unique looking pair of pliers...

Just because some ebay ad said "farming tool" ...
I have a pair of hog ring pliers that I used to replace seat covers when I worked in the Chrysler dealership. They're identical to the hog ring pliers we had on the farm when I was growing up - the ones that actually were used to put in hog rings... but not in hogs. They were used for ear tags in calves.
Your pliers are hog ring pliers but they may have been used on a farm or in upholstery or to clip labels on crates.
...or all of the above at different times.

All the hog pliers I have seen and own have a dimple on each jaw to hold the ring. Do these have the dimples?
