So I got this traffic light. It has a plug already wired to it for instant on when plugged in.

I bought the Lights To Go sequencer for it:
https://www.trafficlights.com/controllers/t3-controller/

Bu um, err, well, I don't know what to do from here. And I want to make sure I don't screw up and hurt the controller.

Can someone tell me how to wires this thing, and where I can get the red/green white wires for said wiring? ;^)

Sorry, electric not my strong point.

ACL is your line, hot, black
ACN is your neutreal, white
Lcm is the common for each channel but I'm not sure without seeing a diagram. The other points go to each light.

Post the schematic that came with it. You cant install this with somebody's picture. The wire colors may not apply based on their application.

The schematic Garret found helps a lot. Pix below of my light and connections. Are these 12 of 14 gauge basic radio shack wire?

Black wire from the wall cord goes to ACL
White wire from the wall cord goes to ACN
Length of white 16 gauge wire goes to one side of the red, yellow, and green light from LCM.
Length of black 16 gauge wire goes from red to the other side of the red light.
Length of black 16 gauge wire goes from grn to the other side of the green light.
Length of black 16 gauge wire goes from yel to the other side of the yellow light.

Depending on size of bulb used, you may be able to substitute lighter gauge wire where I have stipulated 16 gauge. I coverted mine to LED bulbs - very low current draw.

Use 14 or 16 gauge thhn or tffn wire. The controller is fuse protected.

Thanks everyone. That's exactly what I needed. Will post followup when complete. Think my light is from 2007. Might consider that LED conversion.

Lol. Thanks zmax. That's pretty cool about the loops. Did not know (obviously).

Thanks for all the patience, and letting me keep my man card.

One last question I hope. Otherwise Docks nice breakdown and the schematic to account for my power cord having three black wires and one white. Both scenerios provided leave two unaccounted black wires in my setup, see pic above.

It looks like your light was wired to have all 3 lights on at once. You should just get rid of the terminal block you have and replace it with the sequencer.

Then cut off the power cord from the old terminal block so you only have one white and one black and wire those to the sequencer as shown in the pdf (white to N and black to L)

Then wire the lights to the sequencer as shown in the pdf.

Thanks for all the help! I got it working and learned some things (the best part). I kept the terminal block, but may alter it soon as the original power cord is cheap braifed ****. Never thought about pulling the original terminal ock

Thanks for a the help!

Next project: converting rear trunk and backend of an MG
Midget into a couch!
