So I'd like to use insulation panels for my garage doors but I am having trouble finding some that fit my door. My panels on the door are 48"x24". It looks like most are 20 inches tall that I can find. Does anyone know where I can get panels that are 24 inches tall?
Thanks

Get foam insolation sheets 4x8 & cut to fit. I used the foam that they use as a stucco base. I then put refective bubble insolation over that . Adds more R value & reflects light. Was cheep too.

I just had this done for my doors. I have to admit that I needed to call in some help after a botched attempt, but all is good now. If you don't figure it out (like me). Here is a link to the guys I used.

Thanks for replies. Do they make any insulation panels that have a white clean look on the back side? I'd rather not have the reflective foam on the top.

Check Lowes. They have white foam 4x8 panels in various thicknesses. I had to stack 3/4" panels to fill the 1.5" void. If you pull the hinge screws the panels can be flexed to slide inside the galvanized support pieces. When the screws are replaced they hold the panels in place. The panels are easily cut to provide a snug fit.

Which brings up a question I have.
Why is everyone putting the reflective bubble on the inside rather than on the side facing the door?

I would assume it should be layered like this:

  • | DOOR | REFLECTIVE BUBBLE | INSULATED PANEL |

The bubble needs an air gap. Much higher R value than foam if done right. If it touches the outside of the door the R value is almost nothing. My door in the afternoon sun was 140f+ without and ambient temp with. 40-60 degree drop and no thermal mass to heat up and radiate.
DOOR | 2 INCH AIR GAP | Polyseamseal bubble to edges.

This will is what I used.

Depends on your location. Since you're in Texas, you want to keep the heat out. Farther north, during winter, we try to keep the heat in when it's in the teens, 20's and lower.

Most of the big box stores should have polystyrene insulation in varying thicknesses. If you do chosse to use the foil faced poly ISo, the foil will help reflect the light and heat during winter.
