Finished the interior of my garage this Summer. Walls/ceiling are insulated but I need to do the doors. I am looking for opinions on what to use. I would like it to look nice but also don't want to turn it into a huge project. Right now I am thinking those kits they sell at Lowes etc. are probably the easiest. Appreciate any input.

I went with the factory insulation and am quite happy.

You can try the kits, but they may or may not be worth more than an R-1 or 2..

It's somewhat difficult and expensive to add the factory insulation to an existing door. ;)

As for kits that are R1 or R2, you must be thinking of that crappy silver-sided bubble wrap stuff. There are kits on the market that are R7-R8. Some use rigid foam and others use vinyl-backed fiberglass. Alas, I haven't seen anything aftermarket that comes close to the R-19 that Clopay claims for some of the factory-insulated doors.
