I have to order entry doors for the garage and was curious what size jamb thickness do I buy? The Amish builders are going to be using 1/2" sheathing on the outside, 2x6 studs, and going to finish the inside with 5/8 drywall (garage is attached). I was worried the 6-9/16 jamb wouldn't be wide enough to trim out later on. Is there any reason to worry about the opening in the 8" thick concrete stem walls? The doors I want to order are solid vinyl cladding/brick molding.

The 6-9/16 jamb will work. You will cut the casing width down to fit around the door frame in the area along the stem wall.
