Door remote programming help...

My three doors have Chamberlain Security + openers. The previous owners left us one three button remote. Two of the small buttons open two doors, but the third door won't open with the remote. I have tried clearing the codes, and programming the opener with the remote, but have had no success. The opener won't go into "programming mode" (the light won't flash when holding down the button on the back). Any advice for me?

I am going to try a Craftsman remote from my old house. The Craftsman openers that I had were the same red programming button.

Here is the remote that I have:

You push the red button one time then push the button your trying to program 3 times. On the 3rd time the door should take off if it picks up the code.

Alot of times people think to program you hold the button down that clears the memory.

I got it. The sticker on the opener itself actually has the wrong procedure!

Here's what worked:
- closed the doors
- push and release red button
- push the remote button, hold until light flashes

The Craftsman three-button worked perfectly, too:thumbup:

Here's a little teaser of the new digs:

Sweet garage I really like the brick work! What ya got inside?

Well, the toys:
- 65 Impala convertible
- 71 Pontiac Parisienne custom
- 81 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham D'Elegance Coupe
- 92 Roadmaster Wagon
- 95 Impala SS with T56 manual conversion (among other tricks)
- the wife's 01 New Beetle 1.8T Sport

The garage is 40x32, has 15' ceilings, and will get a couple of Pro Park 8s. It also has radiant floor heating, floor drains, complete wiring, finished drywall and paint, and R40 insulation. I still can't believe it's mine:bowdown:

I'll do an "intoduction" thread this weekend when I take more pics. It has been killing me to wait to post since I bought the house in July. We just moved in two days ago!

I believe the Craftsman door openers were manufactured by Chamberlain.

Beautiful garage - I love the brick work.
