Door seal fitment help

The entry door on my project has a small area that the seal does not seat properly agains the door. Daylight is visible, now that it’s cold I need to address this.

Thoughts?

I’m thinking pull it over the small wedge and maybe double sided tape to hold it in place? It will move there just not stay.

Might not be the best way, but I bought thicker weather stripping and stuck it to the door frame so that the door would squish it.

Almost every time the fix to this is adjusting the strike plate, have you tried that? That weather stripping looks pretty new and getting an oversized replacement is probably going to make the door hard to close.

is the bottom threshold pushing the weatherstripping inwards? maybe need to cut a bit off the bottom of the threshold. also the sweep on the door sometimes pushes the strip away . might pack a bit of something ( like a rope) behind the weatherstripping to push it towards the door

Door is brand new (year old)

The seal tucks behind the sill plate when the door compressed it.

I just trimmed the corner that catches to see if that helps.

Posting got me to look at it closer.
