I've been searching and reading about both types, brush and PVC strips.

Haven't decided yet......

I'd like to hear more recommendations/preferences from guys here, salesman are boring me and the dust in the garage is maddening!

It's a 16x7 4 panel solid wood garage door. Standard wood frame construction. The threshold seal is good, no rainwater intrusion problems there. It was built in the late 60's but without edge seals around the sides and top. When I go out to the garage 2 days a week, the dust is all over everything is an annoyance. I'll spring for a kit but since there are several types, I thought I'd ask for preferences here.

Wrench.. I also have a 16x7 door. Althou mine is a new insulated metal one with pvc seals.. I know what you mean about the lack of the door seal. My old door was almost like yours and lacked seals.. Air leaked in.. Sucked...

As far as the seals go I have added seals to my neighbors garage door, hers is like yours. The seals I added are the plastic pvc kind that are posted in post #4. She was afraid of mice getting in her garage so I installed the plastic pvc seals and a threashhold seal also They are cake to put on.. I predrilled holes evenly spaced and used nails to attach them to the side frame. As far as the spacing I closed the garage door, pushed the seal up to the door so it sealed tight and nailed it up..

Works awsome.. The cost of doing a 16x7 door was under $50 for the seals if i recall and less than a hour to install. Use a hacksaw to cut the plastic. Makes for a clean install. Go with the plastic pvc.

The online price for a brush seal type kit was near $200 total.

I'm liking the ones pictured here and they should be an easy install.

Thanks!
