My 1812 access plus has dial tone and full voltage on board pins 1,2,4,5 and my bypass 1875 has dial tone on all pins and full voltage but the 1812 will not send dial tone, it appear, to house to call forward on land line and the 1812 will not call forward at keypad. I am thinking board is bad. I have read to replace keypad on the gate module as that needs to function for dial tone. 1812 does double ring house but that is the DK dial tone. 1812 does not recognize commands from house phone. 1812 is in phone mode. Any ideas?

Are you trying to do a standalone setup without a POTS line? If so, there's a setting in the 1812 to enable that. I can't remember what it is except when I read the manual it was not too hard to find.

With that enabled I get a dial tone on the phone and can run the 1812 from the phone. I was able to do it without being on a POTS line.

I have an IP ooma phone. That same phone works fine on another system I have - but that system is an 1812 classic and not the access plus. I will check that manual with fingers crossed. TY

Consider not connecting the gate to Ooma. Set the gate to “intercom” mode and connect a few land line type phones to the gate to operate the gate from the house when someone pushes the call button. The only thing you give up is the very rarely used ability to call the gate and operate it when you are away from home.

Hi Walt, I just use the phone line to call my cell so I can open gate remotely. Even in phone mode, the DK 1812 will not call forward. I think the board has a problem?

I am not an expert but I did read the manual once about a year ago.

Before you decide the board has failed, I would want to be sure the buried cable survived the flood undamaged.
