Hello, I have a question about drywalling around doors in my garage. I have 6" walls and standard doors in it. Should I take and put drywall around the frame and then corner bead all the way around? Thank you.

not sure what you mean about drywalling around the frame, but I assume what you are talking about is a need for jamb extentions. that will fir the door jam to be flush with the wall so you can trim in the normal fashion.

Hope this makes it a little easier to see what I'm talking about. Should I put drywall where the wood is and then corner bead? Thanks

you can, but jamb extentions are what you need. It's just a garage, so it's up to you. the door will hit that corner at some point and crack it though...

I would suggest using some 1 x lumber to trim out the door. Cut it so it just proud of the drywall and put trim moulding over it to cover the edge of the drywall.

you can make your own out of almost any 1x lumber, plywood, whatever. biscuit cutter makes it easy to add them if you have one, or pocket screws, or dowels, etc.
