What's the pros and cons of doing industrial roll up doors? Besides the fact that it saves some ceiling height.... What's the cost differential, dependibility factors? Would want them to be automated.
They will cost more, I had planned for two 8 X 8 rollups in my shop but in the twenty years since it was built, they never were installed, I had paid for 10' ceilings & did not want to lose it.
slower, poor insulation, expensive to purchase and repair (broken springs), expensive to electrically operate, more room needed at the top of the opening. On the plus side, easier maintenance, fewer moving parts, more secure.
