YIKES! I have some similar hardware assortment cabinets, but with less interesting graphics. I had thought sometimes about getting some Dormans, just for the appearance in my shop. But NOT AT THAT PRICE!!! :shocking:

That is nuts!!!!! my friends all got some when our local hardware store closed for ten bucks each. you have to be insane to buy that at that price. I am sure snap on carries something that compares and will cost less even new off a truck, Johnny

....the guy with the dormans is in the ever-growing group who think they have gold, and are determined to price it appropriately. and then complain that they can't sell it.

YUP! And these type guys come to my show, set up a booth, and then whine wanting a partial refund, 'cuz no one bought his stuff! :lol_hitti

I had to take a second look. He says there are eight units, in the group picture I only count seven. By the pictures, which are very good, I can say like the song, I've seen both sides now. He is as crazy as the President that counts 57 states. I am very familar with those boxes, used to sell out of them, but $160 would be more in reason.

I saw 4 of these in a dumpster at the dump one day but the dump nazi's would not let me get them out. That guy is on crack if he thinks they are worth even a tenth of what he is asking.

they're worth around a tenth. $150 wouldn't be out of line if you needed something like that.

this is the problem with the 'american pickers' type shows. they will buy something like this for $100, then the show adds their graphics saying 'paid $100, value $3,000' even though its worth nowhere near that everyone starts thinking their junk is worth a ton of money......

Holy ****, you have vendors ask you for money back because they didn't sell anything?!

I thought that was just the guys at my show! I had one guy tell me he'd never be back because I "wouldn't do the right thing" and give him his money back because nobody bought anything from him.

Anybody "low ball" the guy yet ??

Offer: $125.
Note:
"I like those cabinets. I passed on a set last year that had one more cabinet, for $150.
Oh yeah... you put the decimal point in the wrong spot on your "Buy It Now" price. You might want to fix that, otherwise you'll scare everyone off."

I have one of those in the garage. I got it for free, along w/ 1 extra drawer. It was sitting at the local Car Quest empty & unused, my buddy that works there gave it to me. The cool thing is, it came out of the auto parts store I worked at for almost 6 years.

Those cabinets look like they weren't used too much, especially that first one. I wonder if it was even used at all. Never seen one even half that nice.

Wheel bolts?? I see wheel studs.

Wheel bolts...? :wtf:

Now that brings back memories. Anyone else on here old enough to have changed tires/wheels on some of those old cars of the late 40's early 50's which used bolts instead of nuts-on-studs to hold the wheels on?

I was a tire buster in the very early 70's, but only encountered "wheel bolts" a handful of times....

I'm not 40 yet, but have dealt with them on my '54 Buick, and a '58 Buick I parted out.

The auto parts store where I worked as a kid we had those Dorman Drawers as the front part of our parts counter for a while. They are solid steel and built tough. No drawer slides, just pull them out of the metal opening. Always made a metal on metal sound when they were opened and shook the counter when you closed them. A full drawer of lug nuts or wheel studs weighed a ton. If I ever find a set at a garage sale for an affordable price I'm bringing those baby's home.

Old cars? The germans still make cars with wheel bolts.

He is down to $1200 or best offer, I offered $275, it would make for a nice weekend excursion with the woman. I will let you know. I wish ebay had a way to let the seller make counter offers! Then it would be really nice to shop on ebay!

The seller does have the option to counter. They can accept, decline, or counter.
