I'm curious what kind of attachment these two threaded holes are for on the front face of my ca. 1957 Dormeyer 1/4" drill? (Model 5-2202)
One on each side of the chuck.

Thanks.

Whoa. Thanks Tom. Very interesting. I see tons of videos online these days for DIY jigs to repurpose almost any power tool - jigsaw, circular saw, multi-tool, etc. - to perform various other tasks. (Usually as an alternative to buying the expensive Rockler version, it seems.) I guess Dormeyer was the Rockler of the mid 20th century, once they moved from kitchen appliances to the garage! Appreciate the attached pamphlet. I like my dad's old drill, brings back many memories; I had even disassembled and cleaned, inspected & lubed it. (Maybe, subconsciously, in his memory?) Now this adds a nice little twist or back-story. Alas, I don't really have a need for the old & extra tool in my crowded garage. The few I see online (eBay) only sell for $30. Not much. Meanwhile, a Dormeyer metal carrying box goes for more than twice as much as the tool that it once held. Funny world. Thanks again.
