Dotco, Dynabrade ?

does anybody know anything about these brands of die grinders ? seen a few on the auction site, they seem pricey.

They're very high end pneumatic tools. They're used at Boeing to build jetliners and the car manufacturers use them too.

We use both brands at work. They're industrial grade tools meant for people that use die grinders ALL day. Even then, they will wear them out and need rebuilds. But a high quality grinder makes a big difference when you're using it 8-10 hours a day. They really are on a different level than most of the more common name brands. You get what you pay for.

I have a Dotco 90° die grinder that has been running strong since 1978. Just have to keep it oiled well.

Here are just some industrial grade die grinder brands. They are pricey. Dotco, Cleco, Atlas Copco, Henry, Uryu, Dynabrade, some CP, some IR, some Sioux.

i have never seen anybody that ported heads that didn't use a Dotco die grinder

OK, in the '50s they used Du-Mores with stones.....try that combo on aluminum LOLOL

Now that most heads are aluminum, most of the porters I know have gone to electric grinders to get away from the noise of the air tools.

I've got an electric DuMore almost as old as I am, and I'm old. Big, heavy, but it won't bog down and it won't wear out.
