Double Check my Compressor Wiring???

The instructions that came with my compressor left a lot to be desired, especially in the case of wiring (or perhaps I didn't understand it). The wiring seemed fairly straight forward, so I gave it a shot...but I would appreciate it if one of you could double check it for me???

Tell us more about the compressor . . . . . HP ?? Gallons ?? Brand ??

Plan for shop ?? Airline system ?? Tools you will be running / sandblast ??

LOL...You gotta love how clean new stuff is. It's a 5hp/60gal. Speedaire. I just got it for Christmas from Zoro with a 25% off coupon.

It will be used for general purpose stuff, as a replacement for my 33gal. oil-less Craftsman. I'm thinking of running one of the airline kits that are out there, as opposed to running my own copper lines or something similar. I have hopes that one day I will be able to paint a car with it...but who knows. I could also see getting a small blast cabinet, but I don't see this as being a serious "blasting" compressor.

Not rocket science. One hot leg on the left, another on the right, and a ground screwed to something green and metal. Good to go!

If you're nervous, flip the pressure switch to ON when you plug it in, so you don't have to touch it to see if it's wired right... or if it immediately kicks the breaker.

Doesn't really accomplish anything, but it might make you feel better.
