Double Decker MIG cart?

Space is at a premium in my shop,,
Currently I have a Hobart 210 Mig (.35 solid wire), and a Liccoln 140 (.25 solid wire).
Each on it's own cart, each with it's own 75/25 bottle.

I am looking to consolidate them onto one cart, with one bottle, would like at least one drawer (or 2) for storage.
I saw the Klutch brand double decker, but the brace blocks the door of the lower mig.

Anyone see any factory double carts that are more than flimsy sheet metal and small wheels?

Or am going to have to fab my own ?

I had one of those, but as the OP mentioned, it took up a lot of floor space. I ended up doing kind of a hybrid approach, using the smaller HF enclosed cabinet but then fabbing a Superstructure for it to support not only my MIG and TIG welders but also my plasma cutter. I also flipped the bottle support plate/deck sideways so it didn't stick out so far from the wall, and so I could still reach the bottle valves.

Obviously this is only necessary in an extremely tight space, but that definitely describes my shop. The footprint is less than 24" x 24". I call it the Tower of Power.

My setup is similar to the HF rig Bart linked to, but on top I have a mig, a tig, and the plasma cutter. Hooks on the side for cables. Storage underneath for spare bits and pieces and a couple tools. No bottle(s) mounted on my cart, they're in the corner away from the action.

With specific needs, I'd recommend you fab your own.

Turning sideways,, makes it to wide. trying to keep in as narrow as a standard cart,, an inch or 2 wider than my Harbart.

Yeah,,, kinda of looking that way. Between building the compressor shed, aftercooler, sub panel, and now a cart,,, I'll never get back to the jeep projects !

The other approach is to pick up one that has the drawers you want (which are more work and trickier to fab) and then "kit-bash" the rest to work in your space.

Our new shop won't be (very) space limited at 30x48, so I'm opting for separate carts for the MIG, future TIG and plasma cutter. The stick welder is an Lincoln 250 AC/DC machine which is pretty big all by itself.

I'm sure Paul at ZT Fab makes something that will work for you.

I had forgotten about the ZT fab kits until they were posted here. It seems like a great option in my opinion. I was going to go that direction with a 26" HF box but even that was too much floor space for me. I contemplated using one of the kits on the end cabinet instead of the 26" lower box, but that would force me to go up another level and those end cabinets are too tall. The stack would have been 6 feet high! That's why I opted for the lower HF welding cart cabinet as my base.

If OP has the room, a 26" x 22" U.S. General lower has a LOT of storage space and they're pretty solid.

I picked up the $49 HF cart the other day just to have something to container this welder until I bring my other welder home from work. It’s definitely a $49 cart. I couldn’t build anything cheaper or faster so it has that going for it.

Unless they are different than my Hobart and Lincoln machines, the doors are on opposite sides. The cart I have drawn up for mine has a vertical structure at the back but then it's open on both sides so the doors can both open. IOW, custom is almost certainly a requirement.

Never fails…
I spent over 2 hours scrolling through my pics today, cleaning out old pics dumped about 2200 pics

I axed a few welding cart pics that were set up for 2 welders - it was a cantilever cart, I screenshot from here one of the inmates made it from scratch

There are several examples I have seen online where people have built carts to hold the MIG and TIG and even sometimes also the plasma.

they range from mild to wild….
