This is my Double deep under the house garage, I have been living in the house for over a year and Im just now getting to the garage.
There was a few headaches along the way, but all is well now and im just excited to start working on all the benches and cabinets and organizing everything.

I started in the front left corner, First order of business was to build a wall storage unit for my wood working tools.
I have never built cabinets(im sure it shows) so this was a first for me.

After the tool cabinet I needed somewhere to put all my screws, nails, anchors and misc stuff. So I built another cabinet, it came out a little better I guess.

And this is the start to the wood working area of the garage.
I also encased the windows and door in poplar.

Looks great!
I love the way you encased the electrical panel

You can always appreciate when a woodworker fits out a garage

Thanks, I had some scraps left over so I decided to use them to dress up the particle board I had mounted the box to. And thanks for the woodworker comment but I wouldn't say im a woodworker more into building with metals.

ditto on the panel box.

Thanks.

Nice work. I like how you store your power hand tools. What do you, or have you built with that tube bender?

Thanks, As for the bender I haven't built much with it yet. I made a front bumper for a Cherokee and used the bender to make a hoop to protect the grill.

and some high line fenders for my jeep

The face of the stair risers were old decking planks that's why they have light and dark stripes, but I will be painting them white along with the walls. I think I will stain the treads a dark brown.

I also encased the windows and door in poplar.

Poplar is really an underrated wood for that sort of application; so many people just paint it or color wash it because it can be kinda green tinted, but it's such an inexpensive hardwood that it's hard to ignore.

I did up a bench full of cabinets a few years back in poplar face frames and maple sheet goods. Came out decent, moved with me to the new house:

Thank you all for the nice comments.

I bought a new tool and I have to show someone as my wife and son are tired of hearing me say look at this and watch this lol

I seen it in the local bulletin board and called right away, The guy was asking 750.00 and that would have been fair if it were in good working order, but it wasn't. The change gear was stripped because the shaft it rides on had loosened up and allowed it to walk a bit. I offered him 500.00 and we settled at 610.00 all in all I think I go a great piece and couldn't be more excited!

After the photobucket mess, I switched every image in my thread over to a new host, only to have them pull the same BS a few months later. I just host everything right here on GJ now. You can still hotlink the images and have them show up full size in the post, rather than just he small thumbnail attachments.

Thanks Mr Roboto, I tried to open an account in imgur and realized I already had one lol.

Heres where Im at with the garage as of now, but im always trying to find more efficent ways to store stuff and organize it better so its ever evolving. plus its always half a mess with multiple projects going on at once.

This corner looks crowded but I have pleanty of room and everything is within reach. And like I said its a mess right now with the two projects spread out across 5 bench tops...
