I have a double gate in the corner of my yard. Due to the slope of the driveway, the gate must open inwards. When the gate is open parallel to the adjacent wall, there is an 8" gap between the wall and the gate. If the gate is opened just adequately, there is closer to a 12" gap at one end, and the hinge end is still close to 8".
I am looking for one of those gate openers that will work in this situation. I would like to avoid the "push to open" configuration, as that would have the opener on the outside of my gate, and it would take up some of the width of the driveway when the gate is opened. Do you guys have any recommendations for an opener that will work in this application?
If possible, I'd like battery powered, solar charger. I could make a DC charger work if I had to.
Some sort of garage door opener or keychain button so I can open the gate from inside my car. I would prefer that style over a keypad.
