Double sealing a garage door

I have the standard vinyl strips on the outside of my insulate garage doors. The are the type that look like they are fitted to a 1x4 and you screw that into your side and top jambs. While they work fine, I'm looking to seal them up even more (since I'm paying to heat my garage). Has anyone found anything that can be used on the inside of the building or garage door that will offer a secondary seal?

No kidding - I just wired, insulated, sheet rocked, mud'd, sanded and painted my garage and I adjusted the garage door closer to the wall to cut down on the drafts, but you can only go so far without binding up the door. I would love to put a seal on the inside that would ride on the side of the door to keep my heat ($$$$) inside the garage as it's really windy in my area.

I went to lowes and and bought the thickest weatherstripping I could find and butted it up against the door on the inside. This helpes quite a bit BUT I think what you are looking for is a Nylon brush looking seal. I have seen them around but they are a little pricey.

Not too helpful i know but...do a search on here for garage weather seals, there's a bunch of threads with brush seals, etc i noticed a couple of weeks ago when searching myself.

I'm in florida so not extreme but i had a huge gap and got the idea to add a spacer to my door to close in the gap from these threads...and there was quite a few discussions on sealing with some good ideas.

The search turned up people needing to put the outside seals on. I'm looking for ideas for an inside seal so that I can double my protection, if you will. Maybe I'll head to Menards or Home Depot and see if they have something for this or something that can be modified.

I live in south dakota and on my garage doors i doubled the seals on the outside that you are using. I staggered the seams to get a better seal also.

I did the same thing on my doors with the seals on the inside. It has helped to keep any air from filtering through that gets past the viynl seals that are on the outside. Cheap enough to do to.

While mine's a commercial roll-up, you could probably duplicate. My garage is insulated, drywalled & has heat & A/C.
My door has 3 seals. I have no air leakage.

Outside has a brush seal next to the door & a vinyl seal for additional sealing & to hide the brush.
