Double-sided tape replacement for door insulation

A few years back, I purchased a foil-face/bubble core insulation kit for my steel door. This replaced old styrofoam inserts and kept my workspace much warmer, so I was happy.

In the past week with the cooler autumn temperatures, the adhesive tape has started to fail in multiple places. I used the tape that was supplied with the kit and though it seemed cheesy at the time, it did its job far longer than I expected.

So my question is if anyone can specifically recommend a tape that might hold up longer? Permanently would obviously be best. ;)

Thanks!

Not sure about a tape to use.

I would be inclined to use a spray adhesive like this: http://www.homedepot.com/p/3M-17-6-oz-High-Strength-90-Spray-Adhesive-90-24/100151277

Keep in mind that this is a contact adhesive so you have to get the positioning correct up front. No 2nd chances with 3M 90 but it should be permanent.

3M does make some other spray adhesive products that might work as well. Here's a selection guide chart: http://www.homedepot.com/catalog/pdfImages/d8/d83877eb-163d-4d52-9d6f-deb977228a4f.pdf

Good luck with it.
