I want to run some LED tape lights around the inside of my gun safe.

My safe has ‘steel” (as opposed to carpet) to put the tape on. On the other side of the tape, I’d stick the LED light tape.

Any suggestions on brands?

Thanks. .

Seems like just about any would work — that’s not a particularly demanding application.

For seriously strong bond — like forever — use 3M VHB. Personally, I’d use 3M neoprene vehicle trim mounting tape (usually black with a red release film). I like its strength and ability be removed if needed without shredding into accursed little pieces that need to be scraped off (like most of the white arts & crafts tapes).

Thanks. I will have a look. Where do you buy this stuff?

I always use 3M VHB tape. The disadvantage of the neoprene tape that 4xdog suggested is that it thermally insulates the LED strips from the thermal mass that it's adhered to. VHB allows some heat transfer. If you aren't enclosing the LED strip in an extrusion, the lack of heat transfer probably won't matter much.
