Downgraded my workbench today

Well... I picked at a scab and couldn't stop.

I replaced one of my SO work surfaces a few years back because the material was nicked on it, and I ended up making a roll around workbench from the old work surface. I had carefully peeled the front edge of the work surface off to make it look pretty exposing the stainless steel on the raised bump but retaining the truck coating on the rest. Worked out real nice.

But today one small blister in it really got on my nerves, and I started doing something I couldn't undo. My finger tips are going to be super sore by this weekend :(

I would totally do the same thing.

This seems like something an oscillating multi tool might have been useful for? Never used one but people say they come in handy. Maybe overkill for this if it peeled right off.

Maybe... A guy at work said "just sand it off". Stuff is tough, but peeling o-k. The front edge was a nightmare when I did it, but that was a few years ago maybe that is why the rest is easier now that it is even older.

I'll be done peeling it tomorrow, maybe try polishing it a little. I need to make a floor insert for the open side of the bottom of the bench this weekend and bedline it then I can finally be done with that thing. It's been a "do twenty minutes of work to it every 6 months" kind of project for a couple years :(
