Downsizing - My lift doesn't fit plus too much stuff

I relocated a few months ago from a 30x70 shop, shed, and 2 plus garage to a good sized 3 car. In preparation I got rid of my 53 pick up and 72 Monte Carlo. It was sad but too many projects splits my money too many ways and nothing gets done. I'm going to use the truck money for the hot rod but that's a post for another day.

Today the topic is my lift. My garage is 10' ceiling and the lift needs 12. I've spent more time thinking about it than I would like to admit. I decided I'm going to try and make it fit.

What is going on with the trusses up there? Any chance of raising them?

That must have been fun. Those top pieces are not light. Just leave room for them to flex when loaded

Overall I'm happy with how that went. A ridiculous amount of measuring and triple checking to make sure my wife could get the crew cab pick up in-between the posts- its her parking place. Also clear the trusses with the top support and all the spacing was correct. Next step is to drill the concrete and see how thick it is. Tomorrow

You already punched through, so that means it's open space above. I'd seriously consider adding 3 or 4 more feet of overhead, maybe reconfigure a few trusses or whatever is up there.

It must ****, coming from all that space you had before.

Wow, you got lucky your trusses are in that position and the top of the lift comes off.
