worth restoring?

Sure it is, they're good tools. A number of us here on the board own them, and there have been a couple of restoration threads with photos. First question, though, is does it need restoration or just a good cleanup? Have you run it yet?

it seems like it needs a good cleanup, and some minor restoration. the electric cord seems cracked. otherwise the chuck is in great condition, and it doesn't wobble under load.

Ahhh... it has the very rare vari-speed unit. That is really nice if you are going to drill 1/2" holes in steel and need to slow it down. The 150 is a really nice drill press - I had one for years. But with the vari-speed it is even nicer.
