picked up a free 1945 dp220 rust bucket last month. so far have sanded and painted the motor, replaced the switch and disassembled all the parts. amazingly everything is in good shape. just need to find the knurled stop nuts. buffed all the shiny parts and soaked all the rest in evaporust. all the cast pqarts were then painted in plasticote grey engine paint. ( nos ). last step is to get the post out of the base, polish it, and derust and paint the base. also found a very clean delta milwaukee tin label to finish it off. when i get back home will keeping soaking the post/base connection. there has been a slight set back tho. on the 9th i steppqed back off the ledge where the work bench is (i been there 12 yrs ) and fell and broke the left leg. should get out of rehab next week. hope.
will load some pics as soon as i can.
