I did a search but didnt find an answer....

I just picked up a Dr. Heater DR-988 electric heater. ($65 open box from Ebay, same vendor as Amazon dealer at $99)

I found one picture where someone had ceiling mounted it, but the manual says on the cover it is a floor heater only.

Has anyone else mounted it somewhere other than on the floor with ZERO issues or concerns of it being an issue?

feel like i am talking to my self over here. At least no grammar police will be offended.

Def floor mount this unit if you want to put it on a shelf of some sort, i wouldnt go higher than about 40". Since heat rises and all, the built in temp sensor will shut it down prematurely. 720 sqft with 10 foot ceilings is really pushing the effectiveness of this unit. So what I have been doing is, using my propane torpedo heater to get it up to about 50. Then switch over to this heater. It bumps up the temp 7-10 degrees on a 20 degree day over about 2 hours.
My garage is insulated but not as much as I would like. R13 in the walls and ceiling. Will bump up the ceiling as I find money over the next few years.
