Draft inducer motor help

Ok guys, I'm an idiot when it comes to HVAC. Never torn into anything relating to it. Before the furnace ignites, this guy starts up and runs... Noisy SOB. There is a loose screw and I can't get the squirrel cage off. How do I get the cage off the inside to tighten the screws underneath it?

most of the time you wont be able to get the wheel off without damaging it.
loosen the set screw soak the hub with what ever penetrating oil you have then try pulling it off.

That's what I was thinking, but there isn't a set screw. Appears to have been pressed on. I don't think I can safely remove the wheel. It's a rental property and I've called the maintenance guy but he said he would have to call a repair service on Monday. I like to try and fix anything that I can. Mainly because nothing ventured, nothing gained and to save the hassle of having to be here to be here to let someone in. Thanks for the help though.

Once I got the unit removed, I noticed fine metal shavings in the squirrel cage housing. The loose screw at the top is causing the shaft/squirrel cage to tilt and come in contact with the housing. A simple tightening of the screws would fix the issue. Seems like a waste to spend $100+ on a part that a turn of a screwdriver would fix. But it's their money, so I guess they can spend it as they like.

I sent an email to my supplier to see if I can get it any cheaper for you through them.
Might be monday before I hear back.
Usually those motors have gone through enough heat cycles that its about impossible to get them apart without destroying them.

Sorry to say that I agree, most of them are throw a way setups. Once dissembled , can be impossible to assemble and have it work.

Usually those motors have gone through enough heat cycles that its about impossible to get them apart without destroying them.
