Has anyone seen anything like this for sale?
I've got a pipe carrying downspout drainage going underneath a slab and it terminates on a small incline. Something like this would be perfect. But I've searched like hell and the only place I've found it so far is this company that I lifted the picture from. http://www.basementsystems.ca/basement/waterproofing/products/outdoor-drainage/lawn-drain.html
I'm doubtful if they would sell that piece separate, but I will check on Monday.

When I first started searching, most of the pics that came up were of Arnold on a bike getting chased by a semi tractor, or of Greased Lightning on the LA riverbed.:lol_hitti

It appears that "Franks Mr. Plumber" out of Buffalo, NY installs them also -- have no idea if they would sell you one. They obviously source them from somewhere but I couldn't find a source. Saw something similar in the UK. :headscrat

I have a couple of pop up emitters in my yard. I like them because everything is buried or flush. Less noticeable and fewer things to trip over.

The problem with caping gutter drains is the dirt and leaves that will sit at the end -- make sure that it's easy to clean. A sump pump is not going to have the same amount of dirt.

The pop up ones get clogged and hold water -- even with the hole and stones under them in my soil. They also get damaged -- have removed mine.

That's perfect, DA!
Non of the stores around here have one on the shelf, so I'll get one ordered.
Thanks!

I'm afraid that the popup styles would freeze up. And the whole point of doing this is to keep the parking ramp from turning into a skating rink!:)
No problem!

I just have a 4" drain cap on the end of mine, mount at grade. Once a year I make sure the grass has not completely overgrown it and that there is nothing blocking the elbow where it comes up.

Wiz, you may not understand. This is for the exit of the drain, that is coming out on a side hill. The slab is on the top of the pic.

My landscaper stacked a bunch of softball size rocks all around it and over it. Cant see the pipe so it looks better and also the rocks slow and spread out the water so its no a water cannon in heavy rains.

Rocks are free and wont be destroyed in a few years.

This and like it was said before if you get any leaves etc in there it will clog up in no time if you put a cap on.

Since you can not hide it, show if off with some left over bricks, some concrete , that box of old tiles you will never use, etc..

The problem with something like that is, while it's nice to look at in the summer, once the snow comes, it will be hidden, and sure as hell, someone will put there foot there.

Im not blindly walking around my yard in the snow to much. Also no leaves are going to get stuck in it as when it rains it self cleans. Good luck with your plastic piece.

This is a highly traveled area. People park on the other side of the driveway and walk up this bank to the house.

Then I would move the outlet out of the traveled way. That outlet will become a maintenance issue.
