I'm finishing up a set of garage cabinets/drawers in a workbench setup and am looking for different ideas for drawer pulls. Any interesting suggestions?

Thanks!

Lately, I've been a big fan of aluminum angle attached to the top of the drawer, creating a pull along the entire length of the drawer. It was in a recent Family Handyman issue, and Mike from Modern Builds used it in one of his Youtube projects.

I was in a small engine shop once that had valves with shortened stems as knobs.
He had an easy and unending supply though.

I bought a bulk lot of Cal Custom knock off “foot” dimmer switch covers on eBay to use as cabinet pulls in the garage. Cheaper than actual knobs or pulls, unique, and easy to grab with gloves on.

The back has a hollow recess, to fit an old style stomp hi beam switch. I cut a dowel to provide the desired height, shimmed it with a bit of sheet metal to keep the setscrews from digging in, and mounted it like a wood knob.

The cabinet doors are 1x3 frames around whiteboard material, to act as a dry erase board for shop notes. Cabinet carcass made from left over scrap OSB and 2x3. Euro style hidden hinges scavenged from an entertainment centre.

Old door handles from a 1950s or 1960s car?

Almost unlimited choices, all of which reflect the personality of the owner so none are incorrect. For my new cabinets, I bought two sets of pulls and didn't like either. I went with no pulls at all by adjusting the doors lower at the bottom so they can be opened with my foot. Not everyone's cup of tea but I like the smooth flush look of the doors without pulls. Take ideas from others but do what you like best.
