So I'm looking for something to divide up my drawers on my Tool Chest

I have found a few things searching on Amazon but I'm looking for other suggestions, such as DIY or homemade. I will post some of the stuff I found but please post pics of your solution. Need ideas! thanks

Thin aluminum angle bars with true square corners. If you have the tools, you can notch them for more intricate setups. Use double stick 3M tape to attach to clean drawer bottoms and cut drawer liners for inserts.

some great suggestions. I think i am going to start with my one drawer that has ratchets & extensions. It currently has one of those HF trays, but I'm not liking it as there is way to much space lost with that. I am thinking maybe a combination like a divider (it will be wood since i have that on hand) to corral ratchets by size, and some small trays for the socket adapters, extensions and swivels

For dividers I use 1.5" aluminum angle. An 8' bar is $20.00 at HD or Lowes. I think the 2" angle is $30.00. I use 1/2" high density foam to hold it in place. For boxes I use the Schaller's.

Too bad no one makes plastic pieces to hold the ends and allow you to make clean right angles. A bag of them would be nice. That would be the perfect solution to me.

I've started using some of these in various sizes that I find in thrift stores. Have ratchets and short extensions in a few of them. I have an older file card type cabinet and these just clear to fit in the drawers.

The foam holds it in place. In this case it is the anti-fatigue mat that you can get at Harbor Freight. I think it is $9.00? As long as you cut the foam to fit tightly it works yery well. If your drawer is 16" deep, cut the foam at 16-1/8".

I'm adding to this thread rather than starting a new one. I've been using the silverware trays from places like Target and the office drawer organizers from places like Office Depot (or snagging them at work when I can). These make great organizers for small items and are pretty cheap to buy.

For me, things keep changing around in my boxes, so I'd rather not have dividers. Some drawers in my boxes came with dividers, and I kinda wish they weren't there. Some good ideas in this thread though.

Here’s the one I’m using for my mini screwdrivers, along with the ones I got from work before they were tossed.
