Just curious as to what you all use for drawer liners?
The original MAC ones in my used box are pretty nice, but the guy had replaced more than a few with some cheap vinyl stuff. It's got holes in it and it's got to be replaced. I looked on the MAC site and don't see where I can buy liners...

What's the best option??

I use toilet paper. Really soaks up the "****" if you know what I mean.

More seriously, do a search. You'll find that people use all sorts of stuff, everything from kitchen drawer liners from Wallyworld/HD/Lowes to the perforated mesh stuff from Northern/HF to expensive foam cut out liners to the stuff that the trucks sell. To each his own, I like my northern mesh stuff.

I did a search, but came up with some really old threads (2005)

Just thought I'd ask because, maybe someone had found something new or someone just bought some for a good price...

Just looked at MAC again and found some for $5.99 a drawer...

I just use shelving liners and 3M branded liners. What I really want are foam liners to cut-out, but there aren't too many affordable options out there.

I bought some of these just a couple of weeks ago and they just arrived. Well made high quality material that is thick and dense enough not to move and bunch up like the standard liners that Snap-on supplies with there new boxes. I just dread removing all the tools from 45 drawers, cutting the liner to size and reloading everything!!!

Country,

These open mesh PVC coated liners work very well. They stick to smooth painted surfaces like glue and they do not bunch up; they stay where they're placed nicely. They offer good cushion for your tools and they keep your tools stationary.

Depending on how deep your drawers are (front to back) determines how wide of a roll you need. The hardware stores will have the narrower rolls, but you can get the wide rolls from Costco.

I use a box cutter with a new razor blade when I cut them. I run the blade along a metal straight edge so that I get a perfectly straight cut.

It's an old photo depicting my favorite 9 inch MAC nose pliers.

For some strange reason, the auto-focus can't focus too well when the tool is sitting on a white paper towel; so I shot it on a piece of black drawer liner. :)

I presently use the gray foam-like liners that came with the box. In the past I have used the open mesh kitchen drawer liners as noted above, but found they moved and bunched up with the opening and closing of the drawers. I have also used EPDM rubber roofing (like a tire tube) and that worked well, but dust would stick to it like crazy.

When I purchased my tool cart, I purchased a liner from Princess Auto from their surplus section. I don't know the manufacturer, but is made in the USA and comes in 36" x36" rolls. It is made from a foam rubber and has hemispherical ribs on the surface. It is by far the best I have ever seen. It is slightly better than 1/8" thick , very pliable, stays where it is placed the ribs keep the tools from moving.. I have seen it in both blue and black colors.

I recently scrapped out an old treadmill. I saved the belt and am planning to cut it up for drawer liners. It's pretty tough stuff.
