I am fed up with the anti-slide linings sliding back to the back of a drawer when is is shut a little fast. It is like having underwear in your crack. This is the perforated foam ball stuff and it *****. I even hot melt glued it on the front corners a few years ago but it all came loose. My brilliant idea was to go to Lowes and by cobalt drawer liners, because my Cobalt box doesn't move much. The liners are stiffer and seem to stay OK. Well as per usual the Lowes/Menards corps have dissapointed me. They don't have liners for sale like is in the tool boxes. Anyone have any good thin liners. Yea carpet works but takes up half of the drawer height.

Lowes has them here...rolled up in a clear plastic bag in a corner of the shelf-aisle
part number 90059 or 90013 depending on how big you want

I use the roofing material that is used on industrial building's, the kind that is about 1/16" thick and white in color cut it to fit the drawer and it don't move. Any commercial roofing will have plenty of scrap pieces and the more you take the less they have to haul off.

I really don't know what kind of liners are in my toolbox because I haven't looked at them since I put them in there. They are still in position and working. Whatever they are, they work well for me.

Do a thread search. There was an excellent review of several materials about a month to six weeks ago. I have used the foam linked-ball stuff with good results; dont care for the open spaces. Also have used a solid fabric reinforced sheet ( 3/32" thick) that was a layer used in building jet fuel cells; have a local industry that did scrap the stuff by the roll (5' wide)

I used inexpensive carpet from Lowe's. It works for me but does eat into the height a bit.

Had the same problems with the Craftsman style honey comb stuff. I bought a few rolls of liner from Harbor Freight and it is nice and sticky and does not slide.

1. On the cheap perf ball mats spray adhesive +1 - works good
2. Stair runner is a bit stiff but I have it in my Kennedy box +1
3. Menard's close to me had discontinues yoga matts (about 1/4" thick and better than the perf ball stuff) for $5. Got a bunch of them in grey for my tool chests and this is the best I've used so far without spending big $ on the pricy drawer liners.
4. i have also had good luck with 1/4 foam insulation - 4x8' and cut to fit.
