Drawer slides/ KRA4107B

i have a snap on kra4107b, that needs drawer slides. i cant find them on the snap on website to get them warrantied. the part number on the current slides are 8-2388A. does anyone know if there is a updated part number for this? thanks.

I think that ball bearing slide sets are what you are after

Call them with your boxes serial number. I got mine replaced free of charge.
Beats 25 bucks a set.

Thats funny I have the same box and slides and was going to talk to my dealer today about getting them replaced. Are all of yours bad or just a few and getting the all replaced. The two 2" drawers seem to be fine but the rest all have issues/ deformed.

Snap-On customer service can kiss my ***,They told me they need a copy of my receipt for a tool box I bought 20 years ago to get new drawer slides!! Who keeps a receipt for 20yrs? That's the last thing I will by from Snap-On,They just lost a 10K/yr customer!!

I'd just call back and talk to someone else. Usually how it works in larger companys. I would do the same with ATT to get the deal I wanted.

one of the slides on one of the 4" drawers pretty much exploded all the bearings out, and another has a couple missing bearings and chewed the track up.

Mine aren't that bad. My dealer got me three and said as long as they didn't look abused he'd warranty them. Might get another or two and double up the bottom drawer.

Should have been these 8-05288ALRS Just a different part # for a different rev. I'm sure. I'm a design engineer and we'll do this every couple months sometimes if we really don't want to get the shop floor confused when we make a change, or need to make sure they don't use old parts.

you guys need to remember that companies have new employees all the time and sometime info like this has to be learned and they do not look at like you and I would. Hang up and call right back and see what happens. if you get an older cs rep then you will be taken care of. newbies have no clue what drawer slides are sometimes.

+1 This is very important to remember. One of the great guys there just retired a few months ago and he had so much information about the boxes (I just bought another three to restore). He had stuff like, what size screw fit into a box where -- just off the wall sizes and part no's from early catalogs.

I'm dealing with it right now -- I'm trying to get drawer trim pulls and though SO customer service prev. said they were in stock (and Jonco confirmed) my driver's had a ***** of a time getting parts through Crystal Lake.

Got mine yesterday. yes they are taiwan but appear to be of good quality. I guess not sagging is an improvement. I got 3 but decided I should probably double up my socket drawer so going to need to order another. Here you can see the difference.

They did away with the clips that pop into the box to hold it and now just uses a sheemetal screw that threads into an existing hole. Which does make it easier to remove inthe future. The same was with the drawers.

now has a normal screw to locate the slide on the side. I had a time getting the original off with that clip. The pocket screwdriver my dealer gave me actually did the best. though any small screw driver would do.

Was funny I also got a 1/4" drive hard handle driver yesterday as well. Put it right to work

yup pocket screwdrivers do work best. i have broken a few regular screwdrivers removing those slides. the screws hold it tighter and those slides hold up well. no problems out of them.

Thats good, I think I'm going to go ahead and end up replacing all of them. Its easier to notice the ones that are sagging now, especially if you open one on top of another. Probably double up the 8" drawer as well.
