Drawers On Toolbox Chest

Hey guys i just got a used and abused toolchest from craftsman. It is all ball bearings. The only thing is that 2 drawers dont snap into place when you close them they keep coming out. What is the fix? what holds the drawers inside. (i am not talking about locking the drawers but only keeping them closed)

Sounds like you need some new Detents.

If it's like my box theres a little plastic deal that snaps into the back of the drawer. I've had a few break over the years. Go can get then from Sears or Waterloo.

Look in the top drawer of your toolbox, on the right-hand side; there should be a little white sticker with the model # of your toolbox (the numbers are like this: ***.XXXX).

You can't find a model number anywhere?

I'd call Sears, explain the situation...I'm sure they can refer you to a model number that will fit the box you have.

HAHHAHA sears they dont know there *** from there elbows. They are going to be like WTH we never made that chest

1. Disconnect the drawer from the slides.
2. Extend one slide all the way out.
3. Tell me if the detents look like any of the ones in these pictures.

hey merk thanks anyway but those are not the ones mine has. Mine are on the middle of the drawer and they look like a horseshoe type. Thanks again
