I know all you beauty pageant types are going to say world peace or feed the hungry or something else politically correct. I've got a guy coming back from the middle east who just ordered a 21 piece garage cabinet storage set and slatwall system. That fulfills two Christmas dreams mine of selling more stuff and his of starting civilian life in the garage.

I'm the beauty pageant type. All I want, is to get through with my wifes Chemo and to get through my arm surgery. Then to just sit back and relax away from doctors for a while.

I just want to finally move house, was scheduled for 9th November, got half the truck loaded and had a call to say our buyer had to delay for financial reasons (cost us nearly £3K immeadiately for the removers cancellation fees) its now scheduled for the 30th November. Just want to get in and all the boxes emptied and a christmas tree up and that'll do me. The wife and I are leaving presents for each other until after christmas so we can find stuff the other really wants/needs. Obviously a nice big compressor for the new garage would be nice if Santa wants to bung one down my chimney!

If money was no object, I'd tell me wife to buy one of the Snap On three bank roll arounds. Bright colored and full of Snap-On tools!

Not married, but I've been where you're at with both my parents. I hope you get what you're wishing for and that your wife gets well real soon. It's a scary deal and makes garages/tools/etc not mean much. Take care man.

While I don't doubt the sincerity of the OP in seeing a fellow who has apparently served his country, this does seem a little gratuitous.

I guess I'll join Kevin as a beauty pageant type.

Best gift ever would be if all my cars were totally finished by the end of the year at no cost to me!

2 years ago, we spent Christmas in Maui (2 weeks)

We go nearly every year, never during holidays though.
What a treat! To see Lahaina all decorated for Christmas was fantastic.
That would be my dream Christmas. That or to be 30 years younger w/ more money & better knees. ;)

Oh, and an erection that lasts more than 4 hours would be nice too. The gift that keeps on giving!

Didn't mean to upset people by referring to beauty pageant replies. These are tough times for lots of people and I feel for those with loved ones in hospitals for the holiday season.
When I was 14 my brother was diagnosed with acute lymphatic leukemia. He spent two of his next three Christmases in the hospital. Our family stopped celebrating the holidays partly because we were spending our time at the hospital trying to keep his spirits up. After his passing the holidays were not a happy time for us.
Anyway that was 40 years ago. I'm know the experimental therapies used treating my brother have helped others over the years. He was the longest survivor in the San Francisco area at the time.

Didn't start this thread to depress people or to make lite of serious issues most beauty pageant contestants refer to when asked what their wishes might be.

I wouldn't mind a TIG welder.

And I hope those of you with more pressing needs get fixed up.

X2 Kevin after my prostatectomy in April (two 0.0% psa's since) and my wife's upcoming shoulder surgery in March. We're both sick of docs, therapies, tests and all that ****...but we're alive, kicking and working on our ranch and in our garage space!

That makes my wish look small. No little child should start out life in a hospital :( I hope you both get your wishes and they get to enjoy the Christmas at home in good health with Santa treating them well

Santagary, congrats on the PSA's and best wishes for your wifes upcoming surgery. One good thing about Christmas...the doctors offices are closed. :lol_hitti

DiddleFart....I don't think you upset anyone. It didn't upset me. And if Santa would send me a setup like you show, I'd be tickled shitless!!!!!!!!:bounce: I just can't wish for something like that because I know it will never happen. I just have to wish for realistic things. :(
