Everyone calls a rotary tool a "dremel" for a reason. They are the "Coca-cola" of rotary tools.

The 4000 is a solid one. They're getting rid of it since the new 4200 is now available. Same motor the difference is some of the accessories.

I have 2 4000's and I like them. Still like my old B&D better.

Love my 4000, the flex shaft is a must buy too.

I have the RTX-6, variable speed 2 amp. The ones on amazon & ebay are set 10, 15, 30k not variable. I think they're also 1.3 amp or so.

It's got a different balance to it, though I use it with the flex shaft more recently. The 4000 spins faster, both are compatible with all addons etc. I think its mostly because I've had it for so many years its my favourite.

Anyway the pawn shop near me has 3 of the 4000 for $50 each. Looks new, if not NIB then close. Give me a PM if you want one.

Grab a flex shaft for it, and one of the little rubber cups that come in cheap teeth whitening kits. Ask dentist for some polishing compound.....
