Dremel bits for carving gear teeth welds

I have an old Wilton vise with damaged gears in the swivel base.
Plan on placing spot welds in the location of the damaged gear teeth.
Which Dremel bits would work best for carving new teeth out of the welds??

Any other suggestions will be welcome.

Dremel Cut-off wheels would be the best for carving nice flat-surface teeth out of a tack-weld blob.

That was my first thought, bit their down in a recess and can't get the circumference of the cutoff wheel in position. Should be able to get it part way with a small wheel but will need to finish the job grinding the weld vertically.

I'd use a flame shaped carbide burr in a pencil grinder. If you have a Dremel, do you have the flex shaft to go with it?

Yes I have a Dremel so I'll look into getting a flex shaft. Thanks for the advice.

The flex shaft gives you a much thinner hand grip. It’s so much more versatile.

Just find a way to hang the motor, so that the tugging of the shaft isn’t too obtrusive. FYI, by hanging the motor, rather than placing it on something, the freely swinging motor lets the shaft move more easily.

My Dremel came with a flex shaft attachment. In the 30+ years I have had it, I have never used the flex shaft. Maybe one year I will give it a try.
