Cleaning the corrosion out of a small carburetor today. The little wire brush was once again shedding bristles all over the shed, my face and clothing. Are there other brands of wire wheels that fit a Dremel and actually hold up?
Try the other brushes like the cone ones. Or those puffy looking ones. And yes, I no longer use the wheel. Still pulling pieces out of clothes I wore 8 months ago.

Those wire brushes are pretty worthless IMHO. I've found that the wire is too fine to do anything like you describe. What I'd use is rubber abrasives starting with course. They're 100x more effective and come in many different shapes. They'll abrade right up until there's no rubber left.
