Dremel velocity?

Anybody have any experience with this tool? I'm looking at this and the 18v Milwaukee multi tool. Curious on opinions.

Are you asking for rpm? Not sure what velocity would get you.

What tool models are you looking at, exactly? Have you checked on their website? Speeds are listed......

That's funny I was thinking the same, why do you want the velocity of it, lol. I have the Milwaukee and it's good for me, no complaints but don't know the Dremel version.

I can't see how the Dremel Velocity is different from any other oscillating tool on the market?

I have the Makita 18V oscillating tool and it does a good job. I imagine the M18 oscillating tool is quite good also. The M18 being cordless is plenty of reason to choose it over the Dremel, assuming you already have Milwaukee batteries.

There is a difference from all the other tools but I am not sure what difference it makes. The blade mounts to the left side of the tool body, instead of under it, like all the others. It also has a flip down foot, that the side mount make possible. See Dremel video. I have no Idea if it is better or worse but it is a little different.

The only feature I value on an oscillating tool is quick-release blade clamp.

Bosch or Fein with the StarLock 'system'.

There are lots of other OMTs, some work 'better' than others.

But the two 'best' IMNSHO, are the recent model Fein or Bosch tools with the StarLock system. Smooth (both companies did some anti-vibration 'magic' with their recent top-of-the-line models), quick-release blade systems, all around very nice tools.
