Hey guys. I have a Dewalt Li-ion 12v drill. I love it. However, sometimes I need to run 12v work lights around the shop without enough car batteries to do it. Is it safe to use my drill batteries for about 30 minutes with those lights? I do not want to cause any damage so just thought I should check.

i would say probably not, or at least not enough info to know for sure. if you usually use car batts (plural) for these lights, its unlikely the fdrill batt will run them for long anyway.

7Ah AGMs are cheap enough that you can dedicate a few for the job:

3Ah versions are usually half the thickness.
